Enrolment and Information

Who can apply to enrol in a VET course?

Taminmin students may apply to enrol in a VET course at Taminmin College. Courses may also be available to external students, however, this is negotiated between our Assistant Principal VET and the school of enrolment. Taminmin College issues Certificates and Statements of Attainment to students aged 14 and over. Students under 14 would normally only be participating in ‘taster’ programs which allow the student a taste of what is involved in VET training. These students will receive a statement of attendance for their participation. There is no absolute minimum age required for children who are pupils for vocational/technical education. Work done by children in this manner is part of their education, and is under the supervision of educational authorities. For work in industrial and other undertakings as part of vocational training, international standards recommend 14 years as the minimum age. It is Taminmin College RTO’s policy that students must be 14 years and over to receive a Certificate or a Statement of Attainment.

How do I apply?

Entry is via an Expression of Interest (EOI) and an interview with the course instructor. Please contact the VET office to discuss your application and make sure that there is room in your desired course. Upon acceptance into the VET program, a VET enrolment form is required to be completed and returned to Taminmin College. All forms can be found under the FORMS link.
