Girls Academy

The Girls Academy program provides one-on-one mentoring and support to Indigenous High School girls to assist them in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential.

The Girls Academy focuses on the ‘Big 4’ objectives to:

1. Increase school attendance
2. Advance academic and personal achievement
3. Improve Year 12 graduation rates
4. Facilitate post-school transition planning

In order to achieve these objectives the Girls Academy uses a wide variety of tools and activites centred around:

• Wellbeing
• Sport & physical activity
• Health & Nutrition
• Cultural knowledge and understanding
• Community engagement & leadership
• post-school pathways and opportunities
