Melbourne Trip

During the first week of this term some year 9 and 10 students were lucky enough to go on an excursion to Melbourne. The trip was designed to help inform student subject selections for year 11 and 12, to then flow on for future career planning. The following is a recap from attendee Georgia Campbell:

During our week in Melbourne, we did lots of amazing things with each day being filled with something different. We spent a day in Ballarat where we visited IBM and Sovereign Hill where we got an insight on what life was like during the gold rush. During our trip we visited many museums, the highlight being the Holocaust Museum where we were able to meet a holocaust survivor, Joe. It was an amazing experience to learn about the holocaust and Joe’s amazing story. We also went to Science Works where we were able to view a Tesla Coil demonstration. We went to the MCG to attend an AFL game and later in the week we visited the Queen Victoria Markets. The trip to Melbourne was a great experience!
