CDU Open Day 2015

A small number of students attended the Charles Darwin University Open Day on Sunday 23rd August 2015.  Year 12 students found it extremely beneficial as they plan and prepare to put their courses in preference order for their application to uni. One of our Year 10 students won a prize; Nikki Minshull won a $30 iTunes voucher for her participation on the day, congratulations on your small win. We highly encourage senior students to attend next year.

See excerpt below from Nikki:

My name is Nikola Minshull and I am from Taminmin College and I am in year 10. The Charles Darwin open day was a great experience for me as I was uncertain of what I wanted to do when I was older, they had a very wide range of job opportunities from child care to hospitality. The open day helped me to narrow down the job I was interested in doing after year 12, the staff and helpers were very polite and were very helpful with any questions I had. I learnt a lot of new things at booths like how many teeth an adult has and how to make mocktails. There was delicious food and I would definitely go next year, I would recommend it to anyone and everyone because it was a really good day and contained a lot of information.
