Facilities

Taminmin College has an assortment of small domestic animals including, Bearded dragon lizard, blue tongue lizard, turtle, rabbits/guinea pigs and cockatiels.

Automotive workshop including 2 vehicle hoists, brake press machine, wheel balancing machine, tyre changing machine, sand blaster, parts washer, assorted automotive workshop hand and power tools, 6 toolboxes, pallet racking storage systems, spare vehicles and spare parts, engines on engine stands, gearboxes and transmissions.

Model office setup including 24 computer workstations with dual screens. Office equipment and supplies including laminators, binders, shredder, guillotine, filing cabinets, badge/ID card maker and a photo copier/printer.

Construction workshop including 10 workstations, panel saw, thicknesser machine, sanding machine, drill press, dust extraction system, CNC router. Assorted hand and power tools, scaffolding, working at heights harnesses, ladders, concreting tools, concrete form work, cement mixers. A computer lab with 10 PC’s with adobe suite and cad.

Metal fabrication workshop consisting of 8 welding bays, 4 oxy cutting bays, workbenches, 2 lathes, metal hydraulic press, metal guillotine, radial arm drill, brake press machine, cold cut saws. Assorted hand and power tools, metal/pipe benders, bench top vices, CNC plasma cutter machine. A computer lab with 10 PC’s with adobe suite and cad.

A full commercial kitchen to cater for 16 learners. Commercial ovens and stoves as well as stainless steel work benches. There are kitchen gadgets including ice cream makers, Thermomixers, meat slicer, meat mincer, robocoup and a variety of utensils and chef knives.

Horse arena and working round yards. There are 12 horses at Taminmin, a tac shed with required tac for horses. As well as riding helmets, riding vests, grooming equipment, jumps and a bridge.

Coffee shop includes customer service counter, two commercial coffee machines, coffee grinders, blenders, ice machine and required crockery for café style drinks, a square payment system to run point of sale, alfresco sitting area.

Aquaculture centre consists of two tanks for fish growing and three grow beds for plants. There is a 20 000lt recirculating aquaponics system. As well as a variety of smaller tanks which house Barramundi, Perch, Redclaw and other aquaculture species.

Fully functional Hair Salon complete with basins, mirrors, colour station, mannequin heads, straighteners, hair dryers and a variety of tools and equipment required in a hair salon.

Taminmin Farm 75ha including cattle and horses, also has chemical application equipment and assorted machinery of tractors, slashers, post hole diggers, fencing equipment. As well as a crush and all tools required for marking, branding and vaccinating/worming cattle.
